Shaykhi Academy has been a game changer for me. For many years I’ve read the Quraan, with many thinking I was reciting well. However with Shaykhi, and my esteemed teacher Sheikh Dr Mahmood, many errors of mine that others never picked up, has been corrected.
Their explanations, understanding, and how they tune the finer details, has taken my recitation to another level.
The costs are very reasonable and affordable. The communication and reminders for lessons are of excellent standards.

I enrolled a program with shaykhi acedemy 6 months ago to get an Ijazah in quran recitation with Tajweed to allow me to teach quran and Tajweed properly. I have learned all the basic Tajweed since I was 6 years old up until 13 years old where I received a certificate to teach quran in my country, but this was back in 1999. After I moved to the UK in 2008, I started to teach quran to the local community in here, but I feel the need to refresh and sharpen my knowledge in tajweed. I have been searching for a long time and I finally found shaykhi Academy that is very flexible to suit my schedule and affordability. From the get go, I can straight away tell how knowledgeable and experienced my teacher, Sh Mahmood Al Assal is. Though I have learnt Tajweed comprehensively through out my childhood, I still learn a lot of new things after joining Shaykhi Academy, especially the reasons behind certain rules of Tajweed. My teacher can be quite strict at times, but that only because he wants to make sure his students are reciting quran as accurate as possible, which means he prioritise the quality of the quran recitation. I have no complaint about the class and how flexible the teacher is in term of accommodating the suitable time for the class etc The only thing that can be improved is maybe for the coordinator to pay close attention on the time difference and not to get mixed up between egypt time and the students local time. Other than that, I couldn’t recommend shaykhi Academy enough to people who want to learn reciting quran with highest quality of recitation with Tajweed.

We live in sweden and we are non-native arabic speakers. We wanted our 7 year old son to learn Quran from native Arabic tutor. Alhamdulillah, We contacted Shaykhi Academy and explained our expectation. The coordinator was extremely helpful and appointed Mr. Zeyad Waleed as a Tutor for my son.
