Arabic learning games for kids

What if we started playing some entertaining games that teach kids the Arabic alphabet? Their ability to recognize and pronounce each letter will improve with the help of these exercises, which is a crucial step towards learning to read words.

A. Arabic Alphabet Games for Kids

To start the Arabic learning process, it’s essential to master the Arabic alphabet. The games that follow will help you with this essential phase.

1. Find the star

This game will help the child get to know the shapes of Arabic letters, and with practice, they will quickly remember how each letter looks.

Prepare 28 star-shaped pieces of paper and write one Arabic letter on each. Next, cut another piece of paper into 10 smaller stars and inscribe each Arabic letter on ten of these tiny, colored stars. Choose three of the larger stars featuring different letters and distribute the corresponding smaller stars for each letter. To wrap things up, collect all the tiny stars and guide the child to arrange them by pairing them with their corresponding larger star.

2. Match the card

This game is designed to assist children in recognizing the sound of the letter, while also helping them link its shape to that sound.

Get some colored cards ready, then write a different Arabic letter on each one. Ask the child to identify and pick the matching card after you speak one of the three different-looking cards.

We can now trade roles. Ask the child to pronounce each of the three distinct letters on three different cards. The child will improve their pronunciation and learn how to appropriately enunciate the letters by playing this game on a regular basis.

3. Find the star level 2

In the second stage of the game, the child will learn to recognize the shapes of letters based on where they appear in the word.

Make a template for a big star, cut it out and write a letter on it. Next, prepare three sets of ten smaller stars, with each set showcasing the letter in a different positional context: initial, medial, or final. Mix all the small stars. Help the youngster arrange all the matching sets so that each group is arranged around the enormous star in the proper order.

4. Match the card level 2

Follow the identical steps as in the game’s first level, but this time, when writing and pronouncing the letters, include the three short vowels as opposed to missing them.

B. Arabic word games for kids

It’s time to learn Arabic words when you’ve mastered the Arabic alphabet, and these games can assist.

1. Hangman

At this stage, we can teach the child to read and write words, and this game will aid in this process. Begin the practice with three-letter words by choosing one and writing its letters in twenty-eight squares. The child is then required to identify and select the letters of the word from the squares, allowed only three attempts. If the child fails to identify the word within these attempts, leading to the teacher completing the diagram, the child is deemed unsuccessful.

2. Find the star Level 3

In the third level of the game, the child will be able to read and write words. Cut a large piece of paper into a star shape. Write a three-letter word on the star. Next, cut out 10 smaller stars and write a different letter on each one. Have the child use the small stars to form the word written on the big star.

3. Match the card level 3

The kid will learn to associate word sounds with their shapes by playing this game. Make colored cards and write an Arabic word with three letters on each one. Ask the youngster to identify and pick the appropriate card after you have chosen three cards with various words on them and you have spoken one of them.

You can now change roles. Choose three cards with three different words on them, and have the youngster say each word out loud. Playing this game on a daily basis will help the child learn how to pronounce the words correctly and enhance their pronunciation.
